Problem: Failed large-scale $MM revenue project with potential to lose federal funding.
Actions Taken: Worked collaboratively with client and 3rd parties to simplify and document formal roles, responsibilities, and processes. Once accepted by the client, BCMP facilitated implementing the revised protocols and communications for all parties to use.
Results: Clearly defined program and 3rd party risk processes to ensure all partied understood roles, responsibilities, and accountability. This helped client secure funding for additional phases.
Problem: Needed to conduct statewide Emergency Operation Center (EOC) assessment for (approximately 1000 EOCs, to determine as-is state of first-responder equipment inventory and regional emergency management operational processes.
Actions Taken: Partnered with electrical engineering firm to collaboratively work with State, County, and local Police, Sheriff, and Fire departments to assess static and mobile equipment, EOC facilities, and emergency management protocols within and between the respective departments. BCMP facilitated implementing the revised inventory list for US Department of Homeland Security, EOC protocols and communications for all Emergency Management parties.
Results: State was able to meet Federal regulatory requirements to maintain funding support.
Problem: Agency lacked viable action plans to manage campus-wide incidents and disasters threatening ability to continue operations during major cyber, physical, and natural disruptions.
Actions Taken: BCMP worked collaboratively with client, local emergency response agencies, insurance representatives, and 3rd part suppliers to simplify and document formal business continuity triggering points, roles, responsibilities, and crisis management processes. BCMP facilitated implementing the revised protocols and crisis communications for internal staff and 3rd parties to use during incidents and disasters.
Results: Client-staff had new integrated response and evacuation protocols that enabled their leadership, 3rd parties (including insurance providers), and local first response agencies to train and respond effectively and efficiently to minimize disruption-related impacts and downtime during incidents and disasters. This resulted in insurance and regulatory requirements being met.
Problem: Client needed to reduce Emergency Room (ER) patient check-in and assessment process times to streamline manual processes.
Actions Taken: BCMP partnered with application development and healthcare service provider to assess as-is protocols. Worked collaboratively to client to reduce check-in time by installing patient check-in kiosks in the ER. Developed mobile application for medical staff to use during patient prognosis and medical record entries.
Results: Client was able to reduce patient management lifecycle to lessen impacts on hospital staff and patients.
Problem: Client realized a cyber breach impacting their server and camera systems. Results included financial data being exposed and employee stalking incident.
Actions Taken: Worked collaboratively with client, service providers and local law enforcement to assess disruption impacts. Reviewed client-systems to determine level of breach and potential exposure. Worked with client and employee to engage local police officials to identify and secure offender.
Results: Ensuring client business operations continued to run smoothly, secured data access and files. Also, ensured impacted employee was secured from stalker.
